UR Supermodels present "Wild Orchid"

September 26, 2010

Chicago, IL.

UR Supermodels hosted a Celebrity fashion event that was held at the Architectural Artifacts Museum on the North side of Chicago. The night was filled with celebrity models, dancers and singers. The charity event was held to raise money for Lupus Research Institute Chicago. This year's theme was Wild Orchid which celebrated the origins of the Orchid flower and the renaissance of UR SuperModels as they are working with Sheanetics to strengthen the fashion & health/wellness communities.

The highlight of the evening involved the fashion show. Two designers really caught my eye, Vex Clothing & Hector Javier Monarrez. Monarrez is no stranger to UR Supermodel fashion shows. Hector MonArrez took the top fashion award at the annual Richard H. Driehaus Awards for Fashion Excellence event on Friday, May 15, 2009. This couture designer really understands how t0 make garments that accentuate the women’s silhouette. Tonight, Hector did not disappoint his audience. Celebrity model and NBC 5 meteorologist Ginger Zee donned a svelte silk black dress with black tights. This outfit is very smart and classy. It can be worn to the office and out for cocktails with the girls after five pm. The other outfit was a black and white silk dress that was worn by UR Supermodel Diana. The accessories were a pair of designer sunglasses by Mali Jewelry on 204 N. Michigan in Chicago. A pair of purple tights. But, what really made this outfit pop was the Avant Garde Hairstyle adorned by this model. To see more of the Hector MonArrez collection, go to http://www.themonafashion.com

The other fashion designer Vex clothing, their line is latex clothing. Clothing ranges sleek sheath dress straight out of forties noir, or preppy argyle print to rubber fashion which transcends the label of fetish. UR Supermodel Lisa Komolova is wearing this sleek leather attire. The headdress is a peacock feather this outfit is definitely for the fashionista who is very confident. The outfit really compliment the model’s body it created quite a buzz during the event. To see more of Vex Clothing, go to http://www.vexclothing.com/

Also featured but not pictured, Clinton Charlie Jeans as seen in Australian VOGUE, jeans worn by celebrities like PINK. His trademark is Booty Huggers. To see this magnificent collection, go to http://www.clintoncharlie.com/

Bravo to UR Supermodels for bringing some international style and flavor to this year's event. I have never seen Leather fetish or Avant garde hairstyles at any local events or fashion shows here in Chicago. I find it odd because everyone knows Chicago is an International city.

Please stay tuned for the next Wild Orchid International event. It’s is sure to be something you don’t want to miss. For more information about future events or model bookings, please e-mail booking@ursupermodels.com.

Victoria Beckham 2010 collection

Fashion Chicago magazine readers Victoria Beckham collections was stunning. Her very first collection debuted in New York fashion week this past September.

I really like this collection because she used some geometric shapes. The outfits were form fitted and sculpted to the entire women’s shiloutte.

Also, the pieces are very versatile and can be worn as ready to wore or after five by glamming it up with a pair of nice stilettos and a clutch purse.

So ladies, be sure to check out this line. For more information, go to http://www.victoriabeckham.com
