Matera, Italy
Michele Miglionico used the artistic beauty of the city Matera as inspiration for his most recent photo shoot. He showcased his magnificent Haute Couture collection. He also went back to his homeland Basilicata to shoot some scenes. The photo location was the beautiful district of Sassi. These elements provided an outstanding backdrop for rich Italian heritage which screamed fashion. Further, the district of Sassi was used to pay homage to the city, where the people famous for their achievements in cultural, creative and intellectual activities guide the visitors throughout Matera. Celebrities who chose this location were film directors like Pier Paolo Pasolini, Alberto Lattuada, Roberto Rossellini, Lina Wertmuller and Bruce Beresford. Mel Gibson who loved this location while shooting “The Passion of the Christ” in Matera.
Miglionico told his story by using gestures of living statues that express suggestions, emotions and passions. He also used sequences of a movie set. Creating this mood blends well with the designer’s concept. Photographer Cristiano Acquaroli has recreated a modern fairy-tale images that illustrates dreams of love, beauty and freedom.
Michele Miglionico created this look using croatian model Livia Skugor as his muse. Using “jewel” bags as the accessory limited edition by Me, Francesca Cancellara to perfect this look. Hair stylist Salvatore Trambarulo and Make-up artist Loredana Venturini added the finishing touch to this exquisite masterpiece.
